La Familia Michoacana now beheading rivals in tourist-laden Acapulco

The hyper-murderous Christian lunatic beheading drug cartel, La Familia Michoacana, continue to spread violence and influence outside of their home state.

Their trademark headless victims are now being found on the streets of vacation mecca Acapulco, in the state of Guerrero:

La Familia strike in AcapulcoThirteen people have been killed in an outbreak of drug-related violence in the southern Mexican beach resort of Acapulco, officials have said.

Five of the dead were police officers whose patrol was machine gunned.

Eight other bullet-riddled bodies were discovered in different areas around the city – four had been beheaded . .

The Pacific states of Guerrero and neighbouring Michoacan are largely under the control of the powerful “La Familia” cartel . .

The latest bloodshed could not have come at a worse time: it is a holiday weekend in Mexico and the start of the spring break, which brings a surge of American visitors.

At least two of the decapitated victims were dumped close to the centre of Acapulco, on a highway popular with tourists for its scenic views.

The BBC’s Julian Miglierini, in Mexico City, says the country’s drugs war has cast a long shadow on the world-famousla familia strike in acapulco 2 sunny beaches of the city known as Mexico’s Pacific Jewel.

Although many Mexicans and foreigners continue to choose Acapulco as a holiday destination, Saturday’s events seem to confirm that its reputation as an idyllic destination is long gone, he adds.

This is how the people who invented oral sex fight cigarettes

French in uproar over oral sex anti-smoking posters

anti-smoking ad . . A campaign to discourage young people from Smoking
shows male and female teenagers kneeling in front of a man, as if being forced to have oral sex. A cigarette takes the place of the man’s sexual organ. The caption reads: “Smoking is to be a slave to tobacco.”

The campaign, which was devised for a pressure group supporting the rights of non-smokers, has been attacked as “scandalous” and “potentially counter-productive” by feminist and pro-family campaigners.

The advertising agency behind the posters says only a shock campaign can halt the rise in smoking amongst 13 to 15-year-olds in France . .

Dateline of this article was Tuesday. Read more about the christianist decapitating drug cartel here.

‘La Familia Michoacana’ decapitated yet another victim, this one in the town of Celaya, in Guanajuato, just north of Michoacan. They put his head in a cooler and dumped it in front of the city’s ‘Presidencia Municipal.’ As usual, they left a message with the head, but authorities are not giving it out specific details of the text.

Self-help guru James Arthur Ray got his steroids from an anti-aging website called “All Things Male”

As I blogged earlier, Ray is a pill and steroid junkie apparently obsessed with keeping up appearances for profit. Testosterone Cypionate, HCG, HGH, Arimidex, Finasteride, Anastrozole, Pregnenolone, Diovan, Genotropin, what a mess.

Turns out his ‘doctor’, his intimate friend who’d presumably be forced to detail the demi-god’s gripping battle with endemic shriveling gonads and male boobies only at the threat of death, is just an osteopath with a profitable website:

crisler site

And now, like me, you get to look at that symbol on the left of the “All Things Male” banner and burst out laughing. 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . (I haven’t named my nuts ‘Yin’ and ‘Yang’, but I imagine they, too, are comically unalike.)

This was Crisler’s letter, in Ray’s keeping in his accommodations in Sedona, that investigators found and photographed:

Typos and all, it reads:

To Whom It May Concern:

Mr. James Arthur ray, DOB [XXXXX], is currently a patient under my care. As part of his treatment therapy, he has been prescribed the following medications:

Testosterone Cypionate

HGH
Arimidex
Finasteride

He also uses several OTC products, and must carry the syringes necessary for the administration for the above medications.

Qualified individuals with additional questions are free to call me.

Self-help guru James Arthur Ray sold self-reliance to millions with an image created by multiple steroids and mountains of pills

The embattled self-help millionaire, under intense scrutiny for conducting a brutal sweat lodge at his ‘Spiritual Warrior’ retreat in Arizona that killed three and sickened dozens, wasn’t as self-reliant as he appeared to be.

Though projecting a physical image of youthful health and vigor, he apparently maintained that image through the use of injecting steroids and popping hundreds or thousands of pills.

Yavapai County investigators have revealed a veritable pharmacy of syringes, drugs and supplements in Ray’s possession at the time of the tragedy.

Police found pills inside Sedona sweat lodge leader’s suitcase

We have new information on the man who was in charge of a sweat lodge ceremony that led to the deaths of three people in Sedona. James Arthur Ray may have been using more than just “positive thinking” to maintain his youthful appearance..

james ray drugs

Police photos reveal a large number of dietary supplements, prescription drugs and anabolic steroids in Ray’s suitcase. Police also found human growth hormones. Doctors say the drugs can be very dangerous.

“It’s fairly well documented that testosterone alone can some how impair or alter your decision-making processes. He was injecting a testosterone form that lasts for a very long time in the body that could certainly contribute to steroid-induced behavior,” said Dr. David Kroll…

In a post detailing what investigators had found related to their investigation and to search warrants, prescottnews.com listed these drugs and supplements. I’ve provided links to a number of the most powerful drugs there, many of them steroid hormones, so that you can read for yourself what he was carrying around. Testosterone, HGH and hCG are a dead giveaway for chemical image enhancement–anti-aging effects, low fat and lean muscle. A number of the others are for long-term effects of steroid usage: testicular shrinkage and testosterone debt. Then you and your doctor can just claim you have natural testosterone and estrogen problems, and the cycle never ends.

In a letter from John Crisler, DO, PLLC he said he had prescribed the following medications to Ray:

* Testosterone Cypionate
* HCG
* HGH
* Arimidex
* Finasteride

Photos of other prescription bottles show the following:

* Anastrozole
* Pregnenolone (prescribed by Dr. Rothenberg)
* Propecia (Dr. Burger, Dr. Marc Dauer)
* Thyroid Armour
* Diovan
* Genotropin (Dr. Berger)
* Methylcobalamin

* ChlorOxygen
* Lean N’ Fit

Riverside County ‘Bishop’ shot in shocking September robbery arrested for molesting children, dealing meth

Then:

5 suspects arrested in clergyman shooting…

Now:

Riverside County Pastor Suspected for Drug, Sex Crimes
By Mary Parks and Bill French
updated 2:52 p.m. PT, Thurs., Dec . 31, 2009

Behind the locked gates of Our Lady of Tepayac Church in the Home Gardens community, Riverside County Sheriff’s Investigators say they found evidence to suggest the unthinkable had occurred.

“This is a very evil man who hid behind the good book to take advantage of little boys,” said Sgt. Dennis Gutierrez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Clergyman Anthony Martinez-Garduno was arrested late Tuesday after deputies found evidence to indicate he was selling methamphetamines from his church.

Detectives conducting a search warrant also located evidence of possible sex assaults on underage boys who had allegedly been given GHB, the date rape drug.

Ironically, Garduno is being held in the same jail as five men who he told police shot him last September during a botched robbery attempt at the church. Detectives now believe that crime was not random. Police suspect that during a 10 hour crime spree from Los Angeles to Corona, Garduno was a targeted drug dealer.

GardunoThe Diocese of San Bernardino says Garduno is not affiliated with their organization in any way. NBC4 has learned that Garduno is actually a defrocked priest who calls himself a bishop, but has no church standing.

Even so, Parishioners were confused today, some stopping by the church asking if the man they knew as Father Tony was doing alright.

“He targeted Spanish speaking families,” said Sgt. Gutierrez. “We believe there are many more victims out there. We want to find all of them because we don’t want him to ever see the light of day again.” [..more of this post..]

Mentally ill Briton turned unwitting heroin mule executed by China

Fury as China executes British drug smuggler
Fierce condemnation as last-ditch attempt to prevent death of Akmal Shaikh, 53, fails

Akmal-Shaikh-001China was this morning condemned for its human rights record after a British man who, his supporters say, had mental health problems, was executed for smuggling drugs.

Akmal Shaikh, 53, was put to death at 10.30am local time (2.30am British time) after frantic last-minute pleas for clemency by the Foreign Office failed.

Britain had demonstrated its anger with Beijing over the treatment of Shaikh, who had smuggled 4kg (8.8lb) of heroin into China, when it summoned the Chinese ambassador for a diplomatic dressing down at the Foreign Office…

Hours before the deadline – and after voicing Britain’s opposition to the death penalty in a telephone call to his Chinese counterpart – Lewis told the ambassador that it was “not right” that Shaikh’s mental health had been overlooked by the court that sentenced him…

Shaikh was informed of his death sentence yesterday when British consular officials accompanied two of his cousins Soohail Shaikh and Nasir Shaikh, to the secure hospital in Urumqi where he was being held. His death sentence marks the first time an EU national has been executed in China in 50 years.

In a statement after the meeting, they said: “He was obviously very upset on hearing from us of the sentence. We strongly feel that he’s not rational and he needs medication. We feel a pardon would allow Akmal to get the medical assistance he needs.” The family filed a last-minute petition for a stay of execution and an application for a special pardon to China’s supreme court, to the president, and to the standing committee of the people’s national congressNational People’s Congress orthe parliament.

Shaikh, a father of three, was arrested in Urumqi in September 2007 and charged with drug smuggling. He lost a final appeal last week, but campaigners claim his mental illness was not taken into account.

The anti-death-penalty organisation Reprieve said it had medical evidence that Shaikh believed he was going to China in 2007 to record a hit single that would usher in world peace. It said he was duped into carrying a suitcase packed with heroin on a flight from Tajikistan to Urumqi.

As the hours counted down to his execution, witnesses gave more evidence of Shaikh’s strange behaviour in the past.

Paul Newberry, a British national who lives in Poland, described how Shaikh while there had lived in a fantasy world: “He had no money but was never desperate for it. He was clearly not desperate enough to smuggle heroin to China.”

The United States moves against La Familia Michoacana

La Familia last week:

Hitmen behead drug rivals
Published: 8:41AM Saturday October 17, 2009
Source: Reuters

Authorities in Mexico say drug hitmen have beheaded 10 rivals, chopped up their bodies and left them in plastic bags on an isolated road in western Mexico in the latest gruesome attack in a raging drug war.

The body parts filled 18 bags and were dumped in a delivery truck abandoned on a back road in the Pacific state of Guerrero along with a message from the La Familia (The Family) cartel that is fighting for smuggling routes in the area.

“La Familia doesn’t kill innocent people. Those who die deserve to die,” read a hand-scrawled message left on top of the bags.

Breaking yesterday:

La Familia Michoacana’s Increasing Woes
October 22, 2009 | 2331 GMT

The heads of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the FBI announced the results of Project Coronado, a 44-monthlong multiagency operation against the Mexican drug trafficking organization La Familia Michoacana (LFM), the morning of Oct. 22. According to the officials, 1,186 individuals across 19 states were arrested and $33 million, 1,999 kilograms of cocaine, 2,730 pounds of methamphetamine, 29 pounds of heroin, 16,390 pounds of marijuana, 389 weapons, 269 vehicles and two synthetic drug laboratories were seized over the course of the operation.

LFM is one of the most violent and ambitious criminal organizations in Mexico, but also one of the smallest. This kind of operation is thus sure to have a serious impact on LFM’s operations both at home and abroad, especially as Mexican authorities have been stepping up operations against the group in its home state of Michoacan.

LFM was formed more than 20 years ago as a vigilante group aimed at kidnappers, drug traffickers and other criminals operating in the southern Mexican state of Michoacan. As the years passed, LFM itself became involved in the drug trade, particularly in methamphetamine trafficking. The group later formed an alliance with the Gulf cartel and came under the control of Los Zetas. LFM, as it is currently known, formed in 2006 after several of the groups’ leaders split from Los Zetas. Since then, LFM has developed a reputation as one of the most strange and violent drug-trafficking organizations in Mexico due to the purportedly Christian-based teachings of its ideological leader, known as El Mas Loco, who advocates the torture and murder of LFM opponents as a representation of divine justice. LFM’s reputation has won it the title of the most dangerous criminal organization in Mexico according to former Mexican Attorney General Eduardo Medina Mora. in Mexico

Minnesota Supreme Court rules that bong water is a potent drug, possession of 1 ounce a first-degree drug crime

How many bongs operate on a thimble-full of water? This Supreme Court just ruled that pretty much every bong in Minnesota (with any water in it) is no different than an airport suitcase with a bag of X, or a user’s shoe with a stash of crack. A glove compartment hiding some weed.

City Pages:

Bong water is an illegal drug, Minn. Supreme Court rules
By Emily Kaiser in Drugs

life without parole?

Kingpin?

Time to dump your bong water in case the feds show up at your door. They might think you actually plan to drink it later. According to a split decision by the Minnesota Supreme Court, a person in possession of more than 25 grams of bong water that contains a controlled substance can be prosecuted for a first-degree drug crime.

While most people wouldn’t consider bong water to be a legitimate drug, a narcotics officer testified that users will sometimes save the bong water and drink it later. We just puked a little.

The ruling:

The Minnesota Supreme Court says bong water can qualify as a controlled substance.

In a split decision today, the high court says a person can be prosecuted for a first-degree drug crime for 25 grams or more of bong water that tests positive for a controlled substance.

The decision comes in the case of a Rice County woman. Items seized from her home included a glass bong — a type of water pipe often used to smoke drugs. It contained over an ounce of liquid that tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.

The Supreme Court says that counts as a drug “mixture” under state law. It noted that the liquid wasn’t plain water, but had a pink color and fruity odor. A narcotics officer testified that drug users sometimes keep bong water to drink later.

Well, if the bong water’s pink and fruity, put her in jail.

'Hello, I would like to kill Michael Jackson. Will Propofol (Diprivan) do the trick?' Yes.

Propofol is a fast-acting, fast-exit anesthetic. It is the modern replacement for the well-known and notorious Sodium Pentathol (AKA ‘truth serum.’) It is a hospital-environment anesthetic administered by IV, and it requires a monitoring physician and crash teams in the event of blood pressure or respiratory collapse.

Propofol’s ‘tranquilization’ is a one-way street: there’s no way to reverse its chemical effects once they’ve begun. You can only rescue someone’s vitals, like blood pressure and breathing, by the usual methods. It certainly isn’t a better version of Nyquil, it’s dangerous as hell.

‘Marc E. Koch, MD, MBA, an anesthesiologist and President and Chief Executive Officer of Somnia, Inc., New Rochelle, N.Y., testified about the administration of propofol before the FDA:

“Because there are no antagonistic agents for this anesthetic [propofol], it is crucial that a formally educated and trained anesthesia provider, with primary and sole responsibility for advanced airway and resuscitative support, be responsible for its administration.”

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), in response to written questions from Anesthesiology News, stated, “Propofol is a powerful anesthetic agent that can produce unpredictable levels of sedation along the continuum from sedation to general anesthesia. There are no drugs that can quickly reverse the effects of propofol.”‘

Used in a normal hospital setting, when a patient’s vitals collapse, the anesthetic will be stopped, doctors will actively assist the patient’s breathing and blood pressure, the drug will begin to wear off, and then everything will return to ‘normal’. Unless it’s a prolonged episode, I’m not even sure they’ll tell the patient about it because, hey, that’s just the risk of anesthesia.

But anyone toying with Propofol outside of a clinical setting, outside of a place staffed with professional personnel familiar with the drug’s potential, courts death. The people who have easy access to it–smart, experienced doctors–sometimes sneak it home to combat insomnia, occasionally becoming habitual users. And then they die.

La Familia Michocana's deadly war on the police: at least 19 killed in three days.

For some background on the ultra-violent ultra-Christian drug cartel, you can go here. If this is what they’re willing to do after only one high-ranking member is arrested, it makes you wonder what they’ll do next now that ‘El Chivo’, Francisco Javier Frias Lara, is also now in custody.

Mexican state awash in recent violence

(CNN) — In recent days, Michoacan, the home state of President Felipe Calderon, has become a flashpoint of violence in Mexico’s deadly war against drug cartels. Since Calderon went after the drug cartels shortly after coming into office in 2006, more than 10,000 people have died across Mexico, about 1,000 of them police.

High-ranking Arnoldo Medina arrested Saturdaydrug cartel member Arnoldo Rueda Medina was arrested Saturday, triggering an ambush on police.

In the latest incident, 12 bodies of federal police officers were found on the side of a remote highway, said Monte Alejandro Rubido Garcia, technical secretary for Mexico’s national security council, at a news conference Tuesday. The bodies showed evidence of torture.

The officers were “ambushed while they were off duty by an armed group,” Rubido said. One of the 12 officers was a woman.

The bodies were found in a pile near the town of La Huacana, he added.

Rubido said the slain officers had been doing “investigative work” in the city of Arteaga in Michoacan, one of the states most affected by the government’s offensive against drug cartels.

Rubido announced the arrest of Francisco Javier Frias Lara, known as “El Chivo,” in connection with the killings of the officers.

Frias is a member of La Familia Michoacana, one of the region’s most powerful drug cartels, Rubido said.

Federal police around the country will redouble security measures for its agents, Rubido said.

The sudden spike in violence followed the arrest Saturday of Arnoldo Rueda Medina, who authorities described as a high-ranking member of La Familia Michoacana.

Cartel members first attacked the federal police station in Morelia to try to gain freedom for Rueda, authorities said. When that failed, the drug gangs attacked police installations in at least a half-dozen Michoacan cities. Coordinated attacks in eight cities over the weekend left three federal police officers and two soldiers dead.

It was the federal police who arrested Rueda, and the current spate of attacks appear aimed at them in revenge.

On Tuesday, two federal police officers were killed and four wounded in an ambush in Michoacan, the state-run Notimex news agency reported.

Also Tuesday, a federal police station in the Michoacan city of Maravatio was attacked, news reports said. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

A local Michoacan newspaper put the body count in recent days at 32.

La Familia Michoacana emerged in the 1990s as a conservative paramilitary group designed to insulate the state from the large drug cartels, said Bruce Bagley, a professor at the University of Miami and expert on drug trafficking.

But over the years, the group evolved into a drug trafficking operation itself, forging strategic alliances with warring cartels to raise its own profile.

This week’s violence solidifies the cartel as a major and violent player in Mexico’s drug wars, Bagley said.

“This represents the third evolution of the Familia Michoacana,” he said.

Reprisals from drug cartels following major arrests have been reported before, but the intensity of these attacks in Michoacan are unprecedented.

La Familia Michoacana wants “to demonstrate that they have power and will not go away quietly into the night,” Bagley said.

Video from the scene of the slain officers showed three signs, known as narcomensajes, left by the killers that stated the same thing: “So that you come for another. We will be waiting for you here.”

Your War on Drugs on video: 42 year-old Louisiana man gets pulled over, pops drugs in mouth, gets choked to death

“SPIT IT OUT! SPIT IT OUT! SPIT IT OUT! SPIT IT OUT!”

A 42-year-old Louisiana man has died, apparently of a broken neck, after being pulled over by a police deputy.

A dash cam video shows Deputy Chris Sturdivant of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office with his arms around Adam Stogner’s neck after the officer suspected the man of putting a small quantity of drugs into his mouth.

Stogner died along Interstate 12. Preliminary results from the coroner show that Stogner died from “severe coronary artery disease, an enlarged heart, and a fracture of the hyoid bone in his neck.”
